Planning

When the customer’s order triggers a requirement for goods, the requirement will be combined with other orders. A production plan is created by the production department in order to produce the products required to fulfil the orders. In order to achieve the production of the goods for the order, raw materials will need to be purchased.

Purchasing

The list of raw materials, and services, that are required in order to meet the requirements of the customer are received by the purchasing department who will then send purchase orders to selected suppliers for delivery of the raw materials to meet a set required delivery date.The Supplier

A supplier is a company, or person or persons, that provide things that people want or need.

Inventory

The raw materials go through a process of receipt form the suppliers, quality checks and accuracy before being moved, finally into the warehouse. They are stored until the production department calls them forward.
